Design and Drafting
Our project engineering group is a team of professionals who design products for and provide services to a diverse range of clients in our regions. By using CAD-CAM and Master Cam System, our dedicated, professional team are qualified to design components according to Customer’s specifications. We have targeted the pump industry, where we found that shaft sleeves tend to be a problem. We have been able to assist many clients with this problem. In 2014, the company launched a new Wear and Impact Resistant (W.A.I.R) coating. It is specifically designed for use in abrasive and slurry applications for pump components. This coating can triple or quadruple the life span of a pump. It is applied onto the pump shaft sleeves and wear rings used by the mining industry. The coating can be applied onto most components and materials made of ferrous metals such as mild steel, stainless steel, tool steel and cast iron. It improves the operational efficiency and life cycle of pumps, therefore, reducing down-time and protecting the pump. The hardness of the coating ensures that there is no brittleness, cracking, flaking or distortions. The coating process is undertaken at the company’s premises under stringent conditions. Two machines have been designed and constructed by the company for this process. The coating has been subjected to extreme in-house testing with high-concentration salts and extreme acids and shows no stress to the pump. The company is also developing other coatings, such as high chrome content coating and tungsten coating for other applications and for the reconditioning of components.
